As morning breaks today O God, I am reminded of your love for me. There’s so much for which I have to be thankful: the gift of my life, my faith, my family, friends and co-workers, the roof over my head and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many. May I never take these things for granted O God, because I never know when it might be taken from me. Humble me that I may prepare for my last days by living today as a witness to your love, your grace, your compassion and mercy. So that whenever that day comes O God, I can hear your words of welcome into the home you have prepared for us, your children.
