Papa God, you know me better than I could even know myself. Thanks for seeing through my brokenness O God, and inviting me to be healed of my selfishness, my arrogance and my pride. Help me too, to embrace my role as wounded healer for my family, friends and co-workers. Strengthen me that I may follow your example of dangerous compassion, reaching out to others, even when society deems them untouchable and unreachable. Protect me from the slings of the arrows that will come O God, and bring me finally, to that place of perfect peace when my day comes to an end.

O God of all that is, thank you for your breath of life that sustains me. Strengthen me today Father, that I will always choose to follow conscience over custom and compassion over convention; that I will never become so trapped by rituals and rules that I ignore those for whom the rules were created. Give me a discerning heart O God that I may choose always to err on the side of love and mercy, especially when it comes to my family, friends and coworkers. Protect, guide and govern our lives today O Lord, and all the other today’s we face, until we meet you, the God of our lives.
