Sometimes you’ve got to shut up, swallow your pride and accept that you’re wrong. It’s not giving up. It’s called growing up.
As sure as the darkness of night now fades to give way to the light of day, so too is your patient and unconditional love for me O God. Increase my patience too Father, so I may accept that I will not always get it right the first time, that I have my own limitations and shortcomings that prevent me at times from seeing clearly, from discerning properly the direction I must follow. Humble me so that I am more patient with my own self, my family, friends and co-workers, all of us on our own journeys to holiness. And when our days have ended O God, may we see clearly the vision of true holiness and perfection in you, the God of our salvation.
