O God of mercy and compassion, thanks for the patience you have demonstrated with me as I struggle on this journey of faith. I have not always been the best person I could be, and many times I wonder if I will exhaust your treasury of mercy and grace. Teach me today to be as patient, as forgiving, as merciful, and as compassionate with my fellow pilgrims on this journey O God, as you have always been with me. I know you’re not finished with me yet, and I still have a long road to travel, so be my constant guide on this road Father, that I may return to you, when my day is done.

O God of my nothingness, thanks for the gift of being alive today. There are so many who made plans for today and will not be able to execute them. Give me today O God a spirit of detachment, that I may live a non-possessive life, not weighed down by the desire to accumulate things that add nothing but pain to the span of my life. Teach me instead O God that life is a gift to be grateful for and not a property to cling to. Give me that grace to always be grateful, and to live a life of gratitude, knowing that everything I have and possess, I owe it all to you. Above all O God, show me how to be completely free from the need to judge others, so that I will be completely free from the fear of being judged by them.
