O God of the mountains and the valleys, of the nights and the days, walk with us today as we continue this pilgrimage back to you. It is always more desirous to stay on the mountain top O God, to be away from the hustle and bustle of life, to enjoy peace and harmony. But ever so often Father, you remind us that we must come down the mountain to the valleys of despair and darkness where the real work exists, and people’s lives are impacted by our presence. Give us that comfort today O God, that whether on the mountain or in the valley, you will never leave us alone.
