O patient God, you continue to keep faith with me even through my good times and when things turn sour. Thanks for the gift of today and the opportunity to continue that road to Emmaus, that road to understanding more and more your role in my salvation story. Strengthen my faith today O God that the storms of life will not weaken me but rather serve to strengthen my spirit. Give me the bread I need for this journey Father, and until my last day, may my eyes always be open to recognizing you in the breaking of bread with others.
