Thank you Papa God that I can open my eyes to this new day. Father it is you who willed me into being and called me to enter into relationship with you. Humble me today that I may seek always to strengthen my relationship with you and with my family, friends and co-workers. Help me to look past my own pettiness and pride, my anger and resentment, and see instead the need to be reconciled with those who have hurt me. Give me your strength that I will seek to forgive rather than carry grudges, to reach out rather than move away, to build bridges rather than barriers. Give me the grace I need to open my arms to those I would rather keep away from. And when my days are over O God, let my encounter with you be one of complete and utter joy.
