O God of all that is, thank you for your breath of life that sustains me. Strengthen me today Father, that I will always choose to follow conscience over custom and compassion over convention; that I will never become so trapped by rituals and rules that I ignore those for whom the rules were created. Give me a discerning heart O God that I may choose always to err on the side of love and mercy, especially when it comes to my family, friends and coworkers. Protect, guide and govern our lives today O Lord, and all the other today’s we face, until we meet you, the God of our lives.
