O provident Jesus, you invite me today to trust you unreservedly to provide for all my needs, and to abandon myself totally to your care. I want to do that Jesus, but there is always something holding me back – my arrogance and pride, my need to be in control, my need to know what the end looks like. Help me to trust unreservedly O God, that I am loved beyond measure, so that I can abandon every false way of obtaining love. Give me today a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires of waiting, and a touch that never hurts, that I may rest securely in your love.
