O God of the now, thanks for yesterday but more especially, thanks for the gift of today. Father I entrust today into your hands, and open myself to all that it holds. While I learn the lessons of yesterday O God, give me the bread I need to help me live today as if it were my last, as if it was the only day that matters. I will never know when my day will end O God, so let me live today in the present, open to the possibilities, and alive to all those with whom I interact, particularly my family, friends and coworkers. And when my days do come to an end O God, may I enter fully into your presence, to be with you eternally.
