Almighty God, you have power over life and death, and it is only through your power that the demons of this world are defeated. Silence the demons of misinformation that keep our people in ignorance, and the demons of ego, selfishness and power that cause us to ignore the collective good in favour of narrow personal interests. As we celebrate today, heal all our infirmities O God. Cause us to declare today that you alone are God, and that it is in you alone we will find the peace and rest we seek.
