O God of wisdom, your ways are not our ways, and your thoughts are not our thoughts. As we listen to your word today, give us a discerning ear, that we may hear and understand your call to serve. Strengthen our faith that our yes will be yes, and our no will be no. May we never stand accused of leading anyone astray with our words O God. Instead, like you, may our words always speak of healing and growth, of love and compassion, inclusion and hope.
